About me

I am Robert Clemens, born 1981 in Hilden/Germany. I started photographing in March 2014. Since my job is taking me around the world and because I love both being outdoors and exploring the environment I often get the chance to actively carry out my hobby.

My first set of pictures "Best Of 2014" is the filtrate of more than 1.100 pictures that I took between March and December 2014. From January 2015 on, the pictures will be sorted into albums either related to certain events or to the month they've been taken in.

I'm using two cameras: my first one is a Panasonic DMC-G3 with a Lumix G 20mm f1.7 pancake- and an Olympus 45mm f1.8 portrait prime lense. Since the DMC-G3 is a Micro Four Thirds camera the crop factor is 2 which means that 20mm are equal to a 40mm- and 45mm are equal to a 90mm lense in the 35mm-format.
My second camera I won in a sweepstake which was a big luck, since it is an awesome piece of camera design: it is a Fujifilm Finepix X100 Black Limited Edition. It has a fixed 23mm f2.0 lense which is customized to the marvelous APS-C picture sensor. Due to the crop factor of 1.5 the lense equals to a 35mm standard lense.

So far I have realized I really like shooting macro images and landscapes. But also portraits, street photography and architecture have drawn my interest. Time will tell if any of those subject-areas will turn out to be my favourite one in 2015, but I'm in no rush to find that out. Actually, this beautiful world holds thousands and thousands of interesting views, perspectives and motives so generally I think it'd be a pity to only focus on one single topic.

If you like one or more of my pictures, please, drop me a line. If you're interested in using one of my pictures, please also don't hesitate to email me before you break copyright laws - I'm open for good arguments and a little cash if you like to use a picture commercially. ;)
